MSA Origin Gas Detector

As a part of an extensive upgrade of equipment the NSWFB has purchased the MSA Origin  gas detector to be stowed on most appliances across the state. The MSA Origin is a 4 head gas detector capable of detecting:

bullet

oxygen percentage in the atmosphere,

bullet

carbon monoxide (CO), in parts per million,

bullet

hydrogen sulphide (H2S), in parts per million,

bullet

combustible gases and some combustible vapours as a percentage of Lower Explosive Limit (LEL).

It is extremely useful at a variety of incidents such as HazMat; Fires; Rescues and even Terrorist incidents.
